WALK FUN FOR ALL!

If you’re a dog lover you know your pet’s favorite activities include outdoor time spent with the family going for walks and introducing yourself to other furry friends along the way!  That is exactly what happened for participating walkers and their lucky pets on Saturday, May 30th at Lion’s Park in Chaska.  It was Carver-Scott Humane Society’s annual Walk to Unite Pets & People!  A fantastic weather day meant a great turnout and there was plenty for everyone to see and do!  There was a silent auction, kid’s games, booths, Carver Co. Sheriff’s K-9 demonstration with Jake, a drug detecting lab mix, free lunch and snapshot memories provided by local Girl Scout Troop #10966.  The 2009 Walk Committee would like to thank everyone who participated and volunteered for this great event.  Together, we raised over $11,000 for homeless animals in need!
