Office Move

REACHING NEW HEIGHTS...with a view!

After bursting at the seams, Carver-Scott Humane Society moved into its new office at 1320 Crystal Lane in Chaska just prior to July 1st, 2010. We were fortunate to find a space large enough to accommodate both an office and a multipurpose area to hold meetings and future dog training classes which just began in October. For those of you who are familiar with Chaska, we are located on the 2nd floor of Lehman's Garage. After 8 years at our former "windowless" office we are thrilled to enjoy natural daylight and of course, a view!

Lehman's 2nd floor had never been rented before so volunteers worked hard in June doing various tasks to prepare the space before moving day. That included painting two coats of paint on the walls, seal coating over half the floor then carpeting the remaining section, adhering baseboards, assembling a working closet, setting up storage shelves, packing up the old office and more, all while continuing our normal humane society activities. Many materials were donated and a lot of time too, so we'd like to say a special thank you to everyone who helped to make Carver-Scott Humane Society's new office so appealing, useful and comfortable. Your contribution to this effort allowed us to save funds which we feel better serves the homeless and abandoned animals in our care. THANK YOU!
