Showcase your pet in our upcoming 2011 Pet Calendar!

The CSHS Pet Calendar for 2011 is now looking for next years up and coming talent. Please send us your best pet photos to showcase your pet's good looks and charming personality. We want to see your pet living the good life, from lounging in sunbeams to romping in the great outdoors. Also, be sure to let us know your pet's name and favorite hobby or most endearing trait for inclusion in the calendar.  What makes this even better is that all proceeds from the photo contest and calendar sales will go toward helping other less fortunate pets get a chance to also live the good life that they all deserve.

Our 2011 calendar will have thirteen winning photographs (one for each month and one for the cover), and all usable photographs submitted for the contest will be included in a collage page within the calendar.

We have lowered the entry fee this year to $15 for the first photo, and $10 for each additional photo.

The photographs should be a minimum of 300 dpi, or 2400 x 3000 pixels (landscape) in JPEG (JPG) format for printing high quality 8x10 images for the calendar. A six megapixel camera on its highest resolution setting should provide an excellent quality digital photograph. If your digital camera has a separate quality setting, it should be set for the higher quality photographs. See photo contest rules below for more detailed information.

To submit your pet’s photo:

• First, email your digital photos as an attachment to photosCSHS@gmail.com. Please include your name and your pet’s name in the email, along with your phone number. If you are unable to email the photos as an attachment, you may put them on a CD and mail the CD to us.
• Secondly, download the Photo Contest entry form here, and print it. Return the completed entry form along with payment, and mail it to Carver-Scott Humane Society, P.O. Box 215, Chaska, MN 55318. You will receive a receipt via email after payment is received.

1. We can only use photographs of your pets  – no people.
2. Color digital photographs are required and must be a minimum of 300 dpi, or 2400x3000 pixels, in JPEG (JPG) format so that they will produce high quality 8x10 images for the calendar. The photos should be in landscape format so that they are a minimum of 2400 pixels high and 3000 pixels wide.
3. Please do not submit professional copyrighted photographs.
4. There is a $15 entry fee for the first photo and $10 for each additional photo. You may submit as many photos as you like.
5. There’s a two step process required to enter the photo contest:
   • a)To submit your photo, send it as an attachment to an email message to photosCSHS@gmail.com. Please include your name, phone number, and the names of your pets in the email.
   • b)Then go to the www.carverscotths.org website to download the photo contest entry form, which you can then print and mail to us along with payment to Carver-Scott Humane Society, P.O. Box 215, Chaska, MN 55318.
6. Upon successful upload and verification by CSHS, an email receipt will be sent to the email address specified on your submission form.
7. There will be 13 first place winning photographs selected – one for the cover and one to represent each month.
8. All usable photos will also be included on a collage page in the calendar.
9. Winning photographs will be selected by the CSHS Pet Calendar Photo Contest Committee.
10. All photos submitted become the property of Carver-Scott Humane Society for promotional purposes to benefit the homeless pets of our community.
