Volunteer Introduction
Thank you for showing an interest in volunteering for Carver-Scott Humane Society! To help discover the perfect volunteer job please select Fostering or Opportunities from the drop-down menu under “Volunteer” on our website home page or call 952-368-3553, line 4, for more information.
- Adoption Discount - a one time 50% Pet Adoption Discount after completion of 25+ volunteer hours and/or fostering an animal(s) for CSHS for a total of 3+ months. (All adopters must meet the same adoption requirements set for the general public.)
- Recognition – a place to use your strengths and skills and to gain new knowledge.
- Satisfaction – knowing you are making a personal contribution to the many homeless animals in our communities.
- New Friends – meeting others who share your similar interests.
- Events – being able to enjoy the many social activities and events during the year through either participation or support.

That’s it! That’s all you have to do to start the process! Once your application is received we will contact you by phone or email to discuss Carver-Scott Humane Society’s current needs, your days/times available and answer any questions you might have. We currently hold our Pet Adoptions at Petco and their corporate policy states that all volunteers in the store by a minimum of 18 years of age.
Yes, our Youth Volunteers are very important to us and play a strong role in helping us achieve our mission. There are many ways that youth can become involved for a list of ideas please click on our opportunities page.
