Carver-Scott Humane Society (CSHS) is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Executive Director reports to the Executive Committee of the Board. The Executive Committee is comprised of the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Board members are elected by the Board of Directors on an annual basis and serve two-year terms.
Mandi Wyman, Executive Director. Mandi has lived in the Twin Cities for the past 10 years, and bought her first home in Minneapolis in 2015. She has three rescue animals: an 11-year old tortoiseshell cat named Bailey; a 9-year old grey and white tuxedo cat named Edison; and a 6-year old Doberman mix named Samson. Mandi graduated from the University of Michigan in 2000 with a BA in Corporate Communication/Public Relations, and received her Masters of Nonprofit Management from Hamline University in 2014. When she’s not working, Mandi enjoys spending time with friends and family, catching up on Netflix, yoga, and shopping.
2016-2017 Board of Directors:
Larry Fasching, President. Larry is a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities area. He has been an animal lover all of his life, and is currently the lucky owner of Kaze (short for Kamikaze, a name which reflects her energy level), a 10 year old puggle who was rescued by CSHS; Cedar, a 3 year old German/Australian Shepherd mix; Murphy, a 4 year old terrier mix rescue, and Sarah and Pasta, two 1 year old cats rescued through CSHS. Larry works in IT for Starkey Hearing Technologies. Larry joined the Board in December, 2011.
Mike Turpin, Vice President. Mike is a software application developer, and he and his wife Sara are cat fosters for CSHS. He currently serves as a board member, as well as on our IT team, where he manages the growing technology and security infrastructure of the organization. As CSHS moves to utilize more technology to improve outreach and help more animals, Mike’s technical background will help guide the board in their decisions.
Dave Lies, Treasurer. Dave currently lives in NE Minneapolis with his 13-year old Cocker Spaniel, Bitsy (or ‘the Bitzer’) who he rescued when she was two. He initially joined the Carver-Scott Humane Society when he was living in Shakopee in 2010, serving on the Board of Directors for three years and becoming involved with the Walk Fur Love (past chairperson & committee chair for food & raffle) and Cub brat stand fundraising events. Dave has a Bachelor degree in Accounting from St. Cloud State University and has spent over 25 years in the Accounting & Finance fields.

In 2015 she joined the CSHS Board of Directors, Chaired the Walk/Run Fur Love fund raiser and is now the TNR-Manager for our new Trap-Neuter-Return program supporting community cats. Laura has 3 kitties: Lady G, Alejandro and Adelle.
Bev Fiedler. Bev has volunteered with CSHS for many years but took a two year hiatus to live in Costa Rica. She missed her family, friends, working and volunteering and moved back to the Twin Cities. She has been animal lover since she was a child and currently has one rescued cat, Mitzy.
