PET SUPPORT

Carver Scott Humane Society (CSHS) is proud to offer support to families and their pets through our Pet Support Programs.

FurKeeps - Shelter Diversion Program

Our FurKeeps program has one goal in mind - to keep pets in their homes. This program helps individuals and families who may need a little extra support when it comes to their pet’s care.

There are no income guidelines for FurKeeps, and although we cannot guarantee that we can cover all requests, we will do our best to fulfill each one as our budget and capacity allows. Please see below for our current support offered through FurKeeps.

If you are looking for services beyond what we are able to offer, please see our external resource guide. We cannot offer vet services beyond those listed below. If your pet needs medical assistance, please reach out to a veterinary clinic or an emergency vet. A list of emergency vets and urgent care resources can be found here.

Food Support

Our free food assistance is available to pet owners who are facing financial difficulties. Please note that we can only honor requests based on our current food availability. There may be times when certain food items are not available.

Please reach out to us with your request.

Free Vaccinations

Through a grant awarded by our partner, Petco Love, we are able to offer free vaccinations. These vaccinations are limited to:

  • Canine 1-DAPPv: A combination vaccine approved for protection against canine distemper virus, adenovirus type 1 and 2, canine parainfluenza virus, and canine parvovirus.

  • Feline 1-HCP: A core vaccine shown to be effective for vaccination against feline rhinotracheitis, calici, and panleukopenia viruses.

Please reach out to schedule your vaccination appointment.
