Lace up your sneakers, leash up your furry friends, and get ready for a day of tail wags and smiles - all benefiting the work of Carver Scott Humane Society.

Run, Walk, Wag is a family and dog-friendly 5k for seasoned runners, leisurely walkers, and leashed companions. Cheering you on at the finish line will be a pet and local business fair, food, beverages, and the stars of the show - adoptable animals hoping to find their forever homes!

More than just a day of fun, by participating, you will be contributing to the rescue, care, and rehoming of the over 1,000 dogs and cats who make their way through CSHS every year. Every step you take, every wag you share, and every dollar raised will directly support our work of connecting animals in need with people who care. So mark your calendars and get ready to run, walk, and wag our way to a brighter future for our furry friends!

Race FAQs

  • Run, Walk, Wag 5k and Community Event is dog-friendly! All dogs must be kept on a short, controlled leash at all times. We do ask that reactive dogs be left at home.

  • Cats can attend if secured in carriers. Please be aware that many dogs will be attending the event, and some may not be cat-friendly.

  • Run, Walk, Wag 5k is an un-timed fun run. There will be a staggered start to allow for space between participating pups.

  • The event is rain or shine except in the case of extreme storms.

  • Kids 12 and under participate for free! We ask that they remain with a participating adult during the event. Before attending a dog-friendly event, it's a good idea to review with kids how to greet new doggie friends safely.

  • The course includes both paved and unpaved portions. Portions of the course include hills and stairs.
